Ajisope Backs APC Governorship Candidate, Urges Osun Voters to Support Party in August Poll
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and House of Representatives aspirant, Abdulkabir Ajisope, has expressed confidence in the party’s governorship candidate, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, describing him as capable of providing quality leadership and governance for Osun State.

Ajisope made the remarks while speaking during the Guest Platform programme organised by the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Osogbo.
He praised the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying the President is working tirelessly to ensure the security of lives and property across the country.
According to him, the Federal Government is taking security matters seriously and is committed to addressing the nation’s security challenges. He, however, alleged that some individuals were sabotaging the efforts of the President.
Speaking on developments within the APC, Ajisope said disagreements arising from the party’s primary election had been resolved by the leadership of the party. He noted that both he and his supporters remain committed to the unity, growth and success of the APC.
The APC stalwart also criticised the administration of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, alleging that government projects and development efforts were concentrated in Ede and its environs without adequate consideration for other parts of the state.
He claimed that several roads linking Ede had been dualised, adding that development should be spread equitably across all communities in Osun State.
Ajisope dismissed allegations that the APC was collaborating with the police to create instability in the state. He insisted that Osun is known for its Omoluabi values and that the party would not engage in actions capable of disrupting public peace.
He also commended security agencies for their efforts in maintaining law and order across the state.
The APC leader further argued that increased federal allocations to states under President Tinubu’s administration had provided state governments with more resources to execute developmental projects.
According to him, Osun residents would enjoy greater dividends of democracy if the APC candidate emerges victorious in the forthcoming governorship election.
Ajisope reiterated his commitment to public service and humanitarian activities, stressing that his Ajisope Development Initiative would continue to provide support and opportunities to people regardless of their background.
He urged residents of Osun State to vote for the APC in the August governorship election, expressing confidence that the party would deliver improved governance and development.
On his political ambition, Ajisope clarified that the party had yet to make a final decision regarding its House of Representatives ticket, adding that he remains loyal to the party and its leadership.
